What's the probability?

Okay - I'm giving it a shot. If I post the info on my blog, I'm supposed to have a bigger chance of winning. Buttons, buttons, who has the buttons?

Okay - so I've obviously learned how to link buttons from some of my favorite scrapbooking blogs to this site. Isn't it wonderful? I'm not a computer specialist, but I can read and follow directions - sometimes (lol).

My goal is to have this humble blog grow. It will take awhile. I do have a life away from my computer. Hope that those who find this humble site will check out the buttons I've added. Enjoy!

Best Friend page-

I did something I've never done before - I took a chance and created a page in response to a "best friend" online challenge given by Robyn and Karlee (check my sidebar at the left for the site of the pinkstamper). I used 3 Cricut cartridges - Picturesque, Accent Essentials, and Paper Pups. I'm not sure I did it right or posted it in the right place, but isn't that what learning is all about?

I'm posting it here (as well as the Cricut Messageboard). It always takes me a long time to make a page because I'm not creatively endowed like the majority of the other scrapbookers. My enthusiaism (did I spell that right?) makes up for any shortfalls, however.

One day, I hope to have a craft room that rivals the size of my garage (I can dream, can't I?) with my sewing machine and all my other toys in it. Then I can have crops with all of my closest friends and we can chitchat while we create away.

Ah . . . to dream -

After Thanksgiving . . .

I'm sitting here watching the guys watching football and it occurred to me - I love this time of year! It's all about family, food, get-togethers, and time together. I'm so very thankful to my God for the opportunity to have this time with my family. I've been under the weather with bronchitis and a sinus infection so I've not been my normal jovial self (hehehe), but nothing beats time with the family.

Anyway, my daughter has just announced her engagement to a wonderful young man and my life will be forever changed for the better. I'm gaining another son! Keep my in your prayers and let's have fun with this! I'm not sure how to do this wedding-thing, but I'm sure my daughter will educate me quickly!

I'm just wondering . . . how can I best use my Cricut for all the things that will be happening? Hm-m-m-m-m-m Any ideas? please let me know by sending me a comment or email (shortscrapper@gmail.com).

I guess I'll figure it out as time goes on. Boy, am I glad I'm through with grad school - whew!

Time to share . . .

I'm adding pictures of some of my work. The first one is a page I made for an auction at the first scrapbooking weekend I went to. I had no Cricut, no Cuttlebug, no scrapbooking tools (except inks, scissors, and brads) to my name. I started sewing on my pages because it was a way to dress them up with having all the fancy tools. To this day, I'm still known as the one who "sews on all her pages". While it's not true, it still sounds good! :-D

I'll be adding pictures of other things as I get around to it. For those who find this blog, enjoy.

Oh, the newness of it all!

Okay - so this is all new to me. I'm trying to catch up with the 21st century and do this thing called "blogging". I really wanted a place to show off my scrapbook and card creations and share some stuff that I've learned. I won't promise that I'll post regularly or even add stuff or a consistent basis. I'm a fairly new scrapper and I've got a lot to learn.

But . . . I wanted a place to display what I've done and share what others have shared with me.
